 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
 ============

   [NOTE: If you downloaded the prior versions of this battle map prior to 7/02/02 from my personal site, you need to replace the .ufo and AI file with this one. I made a minor adjustment to bring the building to advanced level more quickly).

    This battle map, "Mad Response_v1," is given to the Total Annihilation Community for their enjoyment. After a hiatus from the TA Community, I have come back out to give you more gifts from a labor of love of Total Annihilation.

 "Mad Response_v1" has 4 levels of play (Easy, Medium, Hard, Network 1), each with their own AI and Start Positions. Do have your initial settings for computer/human metal and energy set for 1000 only on all levels (both Skirmish Mode and Online)! (EASY=Sea Battle, MEDIUM=DemonWaterAI, HARD & NETWORK 1=Naval Air AI_v2b).

 Note: I created the "Naval Air AI_v2b" specifically for this battle map, as it was designed for balanced wargaming, and can be used on any water based battle maps with good resources (but works best on metal/water ones). It is non-cheating, and for original Cavedog units only.

 Though this is an "Epic" sized map (40 x 40), it only uses 1.01mb for size, and can operate off of 16mb ram (though I do recommend going 32mb to 128mb ram on up). If perchance your game lags, lower the number of players you have against you in Skirmish Mode. I do recommend you get the 500 unit patch at TAMEC, and the 5k patch. One note concerning the 5k patch, when installed, do click on the "patch.bat" found in your your C:\Cavedog\Totala directory. I have discovered the the 500 unit patch works well with the NO CD program (found at TAMEC), but the 5k patch does require you to use the Total Annihilation CD for use. You will push the limits of the 500 unit patch to annihilate your opponents. The 5k patch with 5000 units is for fast systems.

 I do recommend, that if you play in Skirmish Mode, that you start with with all 10 players to get the full enhancement of the AI on the Hard setting, true sight, unmapped. If you are real gutsy, ally all nine of the computer ai's against you (a mix of Arm/Core recommended). (heh heh) I did design this also to be played in Multiplayer/Online with up to 10 players for one fantastic bloodbath of an naval/hover/air and/or pork battle.

 I further recommend using WinZip to extract this "Mad Response_v1.zip" file (and remember where you extracted it to): saving the "Mad Response_v1.jpg" for viewing, "Mad Response_v1 ReadMe.txt" to read, and this unique battlemap "Mad Response_v1.ufo" to be placed directly in your C:\Cavedog\Totala directory. Further place the "Swi_Nuke.ufo" into the C:\Cavedog\Totala directory. It is a good program, and your computer AI opponents will use it, effectively.

 I have included TWO AI's with this battlemap. These AI's works very well with this map for Skirmish Mode, and may surprise you as to how sophisticated they are. I recommend your creating a file called AI in your C:\Cavedog\Totala directory, then installing the "Naval Air AI_v2b.txt" AI file, and the "DemonWaterAI.txt" AI file, into this newly created AI file in Totala. Both AI's are non-cheating, aggressive, and for Cavedog units only.

 You must have, in your C:\Cavedog\Totala directory, either The Core Contingency or Battle Tactics expansion packs installed in order to use this map, as well as the Creon Features File (obtain from TAMEC - http://www.tamec.net ).

 Final Note and piece of advice. X marks the spot. Build Nukes...you are going to need them.
